3 Exciting Alternatives to Freeze Dance Your Students Will Love

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]I love freeze dance just as much as my scholars! I often use it as a way to incorporate clean songs my scholars love that don’t really fit into any particular lesson. It’s also great for a reward or a brain break. However, we all know that sometimes freeze dance can get a little crazy. I’ve been on the search for some great alternatives to freeze dance. Below are three alternatives I plan to use in my class this year.

Go Noodle
Go Noodle is an awesome website that has movement and mindfulness activities for kids. If you don’t already have an account I recommend you get one today! They have some great guided dance videos that scholars of all ages can easily follow along with and enjoy.

Just Dance
Thanks to youtube, you don’t need a game console to play just dance. There are so many Just Dance videos on youtube that you can show in your classroom. The kids love these!

Line Dance
Line dancing is a favorite at parties so why not bring it to the classroom! There are so many line dances out there: Cha Cha Slide, Cupid Shuffle, Electric Slide.

What about you? What are some ways you incorporate dance and movement into your classroom?[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
